Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion is an action-comedy television series that premiered on Disney Channel on June 3, 2022 and ended on November 11, 2022.
Plot[]
The series unfolds as a magical luchador mask selects 13-year-old Violet to become Ultra, a superhero like her uncle—Black Scorpion. Ultra begins her own secret superhero training with her uncle, all while navigating the ups and downs of middle school. As they start to work together, Black Scorpion realizes he can learn a few things from Ultra’s modern Gen-Z take on crime-fighting.

On January 21, 2020, Disney Channel gave a cast-contingent pilot order to Ultra Violet & Blue Demon, with Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit serving as the executive producers and writers. Mexican wrestler, Blue Demon Jr. was set to star and executive produce as well.[1] On March 11, 2020, Juan Alfonso joined the cast.[2] On January 28, 2021, the series was given a formal series order with the rest of the cast announced. Scarlett Estevez was given the lead role, along with Marianna Burelli, Brandon Rossel, Zelia Ankrum, and Bryan Blanco joining the cast as series regulars.[3] On August 2, 2021, the series was re-announced as Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion, with J.R. Villarreal replacing Blue Demon Jr., who is no longer involved with the series.[4] Production on the first season began on July 23, 2021 and wrapped on January 28, 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana.[5] On April 28, 2022, it was announced that the series would premiere on June 3, 2022, alongside The Villains of Valley View.[6][7] On November 18, 2022, it was reported that the series was cancelled after one season.[8]

- The entire series was removed from Disney+ on May 27, 2023.
